Hi! What version of Fedora are you running? All newer DigitalOcean Droplets now use kernels that are managed internally and do not need to be changed from the control panel. You update them just as you would any other package with the OS’s package manager. This includes all available Fedora releases that have not reached EOL (23 and 24). If you are on an older Fedora release, I’d suggest that you upgrade to ensure you continue to receive system updates.
Older Droplets can now also use internally managed kernels by selecting “DigitalOcean GrubLoader” as the kernel through the control panel. Find out all the information about kernels on DigitalOcean in this article:
