Question

Matching created storage with their devices in Linux

I’ve created a device named “ds-doplay”. In Linux, it appears to me as /dev/disk/by-id/scsi-0DO_Volume_ds-doplay.

Can I rely on these devices always receiving an ID like this? (ie: they’ll start with “0DO_Volume_” ?)

Hi,

Definitely! You will always be able to access Volumes through /dev/disk/by-id/scsi-0DO_Volume_volume name.
