My droplet (2 GB Memory / 40 GB Disk / SGP1 - Ubuntu 20.04 (LTS) x64) was running out of space. So I added a 40GB volume, and mounted it as per DO instructions. I moved some backup folders over with the mv command. That all went well. However the total amount of disc space available (according to df) for my server remains at 40 GB, even though the DO description of my plan is now 2 GB Memory / 40 GB Disk + 40 GB / SGP1 - Ubuntu 20.04 (LTS) x64. The df command and the Disk Usage graph but tell me I only have 40GB total storage. Is there something I didn’t understand properly?

Hi there,
The new block storage would show up as a separate disk, so the df command will still be reporting a total of 40GB for the / mount out but there should be another disk with the size of the new block storage that you’ve attached.
Feel free to share the output of the df -h command here if you wish.
Best, Bobby
