phpMyAdmin File Limit

I’m trying to import a 151 MB database into phpMyAdmin and am getting the error “You probably tried to upload a file that is too large. Please refer to documentation for a workaround for this limit.”

I’ve already edited php.ini with values of uploadmaxfilesize, memorylimit and postmax_size that more than accommodate this file. Is there anything else I can do to troubleshoot?

Hello, @alexanderCrab

Could you please confirm that the uploadmaxfilesize change has taken effect? What you can do is to create an info.php file and then check the value. You can create a file named info.php (the name doesn’t really matter) and put the following content in the file:

Then all you need to do is to access the file in your browser and you’ll see all the information about the php extensions and values as well.

I will recommend you to set the following limits in the php.ini file

max_input_time = 259200
memory_limit = 512M // or more if needed
upload_max_filesize = 512M
post_max_size = 512M

Keep in mind that you might need to restart your web server - Apache or Nginx in order the changes to take effect.

Let me know how it goes.
