Hey guys,
I created a droplet 5 minutes ago and I still haven’t received the root password. and yes, I have checked the spam folder.
Is this normal?

If you’ve added SSH keys, you will not receive a root password. In that case you can only connect via SSH key pairs. If you did not enable SSH keys, and you still haven’t received your password please open a support ticket: https://cloud.digitalocean.com/support
No I haven’t added any ssh keys yet. Did a password reset just now and both emails arrived at the same time.
I too experienced this problem with initial creation of the droplet. However, resetting the droplet’s root password triggered the email.
Until the issue is fixed, try this:
Check your email, you should have received the access password. At least I did.
Get paid to write technical tutorials and select a tech-focused charity to receive a matching donation.
