Server not accept my password

Posted on August 18, 2018

Every time I create drops in the DO, after a while the server does not accept my password. And from time to time I have to reset it. But that’s not all - after a while, the server at all stops responding to me from a local computer, and I have to delete the droplet and create a new one.

And this repeats again and again.

What is wrong?

Hello there,

This is definitely a weird behaviour and should not occur without manual change on the droplet itself.

Are you running a team profile by any chance and are there multiple people working on the droplet itself?

Also I’ll recommend using ssh-keys to access your droplet instead of using password. This method is more secure and also will likely resolve the issue you’re having with the password prompt.

If this ever occurs again, you can post here in the community or reach to our amazing support team.
