It doesn’t seem like you are using the correct html tags for it to download.
To start downloading images on click,you can actually use this method
<a download="custom-filename.jpg" href="/path/to/image" title="ImageName">
<img alt="ImageName" src="/path/to/image">
</a>
You’ll need to change the src and href so that they follow the path to your image.
