There’s nothing I can find to add an SSL for the storage. Can DO upload some DO cert on the server so the curl call can find it and refer to it when trying to connect to DO.

Heya,
In case that you are using a Droplet, then you could get an SSL certificate by following the steps Bobby mentioned.
If you are using the DigitalOCean App Platform this is all done automatically. With the App Platform, DigitalOcean creates, manages, and renews your SSL certificates automatically.

Hi there,
Would you mind clarifying which storage type are you referring to exactly?
If this is regarding a Droplet with a web server like Nginx, you could get a free SSL certificate using Let’s Encrypt:
If this is regarding the DigitalOcean Spaces, they come with an SSL certificate pre-configured so there is no need to take any manual steps.
Feel free to share more information about your setup and I will be happy to help further!
Best,
Bobby
