sudo apt-get dist-upgrade NOT working on the console

Posted on February 10, 2016

I have trying my best to perform a sudo apt-get dist-upgrade and instead of seeing a successful message after typing this command on the terminal console I got this message on the screen: http://imgur.com/O059IQC. That is the screenshot of the message the console gives me. The following are the steps I made prior to making the sudo apt-get dist-upgrade terminal command:

  1. sudo apt-get update
  2. sudo apt-get upgrade
  3. sudo apt-get dist-upgrade.
