What is the reason for this report?

sudo apt-get update failed (E: Sub-process returned an error code)

Hi, im using ubuntu 14, logged in and trying to perform ‘sudo apt-get update’, but it failed and gave me this error

You can try:

sudo apt-get update --fix-missing

sudo dpkg –configure -a
