Surround SCM server setup guide or documentation?

Posted on November 30, 2016

Would be great to a get a guide on how to get started with setting up a Surround SCM (version control software) server with a droplet.

If someone has done it before and knows how to do it, any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers!

Surround SCM provides two installer options for Linux, a Perl and a Java based one. With a new Ubuntu droplet, perl should be installed by default and this installer should get you started.

This section of the documentation covers this.

Once the installation is complete you can use /usr/bin/scmgui start to start the service.

As this is not free software you next need to set up your licensing server before you can begin using the software.
