I recently transferred my DNS management back to Namecheap from DigitalOcean because I wanted to be able to use an email forwarding feature that Namecheap only allows if DNS records are managed by Namecheap. Everything seems to have gone fine with the transfer. My question is should I now delete the domain management of the domain name from DigitalOcean?

Hi there,
It is not required to delete your records, if your nameservers are now set to the Namecheap ones, this means that the DNS zone under your DigitalOcean account would not have any effect. The nameservers basically ‘tell’ your domain name which DNS zone it should use.
However, if you want to keep things tidy, you could delete the zone from your DigitalOcean account so that it does not confuse you in the future.
Hope that this helps! Regards, Bobby
