Hello, I rencently tried DigitalOcean and started to use it for webserver (wich is working perfectly). I then tried to use servers for videogames so i could host my own server. But whenever i try to ping google.com for example i get an average of 0.550ms. And of course for videogames server this is not the best. So i was wondering if there was a way to get a better ping or better connection. Is it just another droplet setting ? Do i have to install some stuff ? (Also i currently use the lowest price so it’s : memory 1GB, 1 vCPU, 25 GB disk, 1 TB transfer)
Sorry if i lack the knowledge but i’m new to all this linux and server thing. Thank you if you can help me. I am open to every critic or advice.

In order to improve the ping times between you and any server that you are accessing the most critical part is how far apart the two destinations are.
So with DigitalOcean you will want to ping each one of our datacenter’s to see which one has the lowest latency and then launch your droplet there.
You can use the following link to do a Speed test to each of the datacenters: http://speedtest-nyc1.digitalocean.com/
