Posted on March 15, 2016

Hi, sorry for newbie question. I’m totally new with Linux as well as Ubuntu.

Currently, I’m using Ubuntu LEMP stack and Wordpress.

My question is, how to share file/folder from my ubuntu server to windows 7 ? This will make my backup task more easier.

I found this guy in this video doing the same exactly what I want for. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rG8SW8iMH8U

In order to provide file-sharing to your Windows 7 client, you will need to create a Samba/SMB file share. The Ubuntu site provides information on how to accomplish this, and should be able to help you get it setup: https://help.ubuntu.com/lts/serverguide/samba-fileserver.html
