I have a managed database MySQL version 8.0, but this is now in EOL and 8.4 is the supported LTS version. Is there a planned timeframe for supporting 8.4 on managed databases?
EOL notice here for reference endoflife.date/mysql Many thanks

Hi there,
That’s a fair question. DigitalOcean generally rolls out new major or LTS database versions only after they’re confident they’re production-ready in a managed context. While there isn’t a public ETA for MySQL 8.4 yet, support for 8.0 will continue until a supported upgrade path is available.
If this is time-critical, the best option for now is to reach out to DigitalOcean support so they can share any internal timelines or guidance. They’re usually happy to clarify what’s coming next and how long current versions will remain supported.
I’ve also shared your feedback with the team as well.
