I just opened my website today and saw that ‘‘Error 521’’ web server is down! Also I’ve been using digital ocean for the past 5 months with cloudflare and haven’t seen such an error? So any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks to you! I just somehow found out that I need to reboot my droplet. For anyone who is facing such an issue try rebooting your droplet.
To reboot a server from the command line, run:
sudo shutdown -r now
To restart Apache, run:
sudo service apache2 restart
Everything is working fine! BTW DigitalOcean support was not helpfull at all! They cant even suggest a thing apart from repeating one thing! ‘‘its not our problem’’

Im having the same issue, ive logging in to the website of DO. Ive also raised a ticket but no luck. The Site has been down since 2 hours. Can you help in a laymans language what to do.
Im getting the same Error 521 need urgent help.
I’m no expert myself but just like mburdett555 said check what the error is! To do that you need to access your error.log file that you can find it in /var/log/apache2/ and can acess it via FileZilla. After that anyone can tell whats causing the Error 521.
