Why is SELinux disabled by default on Fedora 20

SELinux is part of the the fedora system. Why is it disabled by default? Disabling it by default encourages weak security. Weak security leads to security breaches.

SELinux is developed by NSA, could it be the reason it is disabled?

SELinux is disabled by default on the image so that you can automatically reset the root password via the DigitalOcean control panel. You’re welcome to enable it, but be aware that feature will no longer work as expected.
