4 Dollars have been taken from me when i tried to signup

From 20 mins ago or less I tried to sign up on digital ocean with my google account and once I clicked on sign up it took me to bill info page and after I had entered my credit card number and clicked save card, it gave me an error, I tried about 4 times and got same error and then I got message says that 4 dollars have been taken from me what’s wrong with digital ocean ?

Hi! If this happens when trying to add a new billing profile, it sounds like a preauthorization which is a common way of checking if a card is valid, especially for online businesses. The preauthorization amount can vary but the hold is immediately canceled and the money isn’t actually captured - it’ll drop off your bank account within a few business days depending on their processing time and policies.

Did you added or bought any service or it directly cut the amount?
