when playing around in my dashboard i have noticed the new GenAI platform so i deployed one to test it and after a bit i destroyed it
but in the billing it shows that the prepayments balance got deducted something like 10$ or so
did i really spend my prepayments even after destroying the AIAGent ?

The GenAI Platform charges based on usage (number of tokens processed), not a flat fee—you don’t “buy” an AI Agent. The pricing is per million tokens, starting as low as $0.009 for certain models, so seeing a sudden $10 deduction doesn’t really align with how the billing works:
If this is a new account, it’s possible that what you’re seeing is a payment method verification charge. DigitalOcean sometimes places a temporary hold to verify your payment method, which should be refunded automatically after a few days.
If you’re still unsure, I’d recommend reaching out to DigitalOcean Support for a detailed breakdown of the charge—they can check your billing history and clarify things.
