How can I see the balance of my account without using the api? Being told how much my estimated bill is going to be is great but not that much use if I can’t see what the current balance is.

Hello,
Yes, you can check that via your DigitalOcean Control Panel -> then click on “Billing” on the left -> Once there you will see your Remaining account credits listed there.
