Hello,

Yes, you could set up an automation script to backup your data from one Block Storage to another.

Alternatively, what I could suggest are a few other approaches:

  • You could backup your Block Storage by taking a snapshot of the volume as per the instructions here:

https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/images/snapshots/how-to/snapshot-volumes/

This will generate an entire snapshot which you could later on use to restore your Block Storage from.

  • You could follow the steps from this tutorial here on how to use the DigitalOcean Object Storage and backup your data automatically:

https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-automate-backups-digitalocean-spaces

  • A third suggestion would be to use an external service like the Daily DigitalOcean Backups by SnapShooter:

Hope that this helps. Best, Bobby
