I have gotten issues with my server and it looks like I can’t access my ip-address publicly even after rebuilding the droplet multiple times. I have considered changing the server IP address but It looks like its not very possible, Am considering destroying the droplet and get another, but my issue is that i have already paid for the month we are in, So my big question is, does this mean am going to incur extra charges? Or will they continue billing from my previous payment?

Hi @edmondmusiitwa,
You shouldn’t experience any extra charges. Additionally, DigitalOcean’s billing is done monthly, and for the previous period rather than the next one. DigitalOcean automatically invoices and charge your account’s primary payment method on the first day of each month for the previous month’s usage, or partway through the month if you exceed your account’s usage threshold.
As said, there shouldn’t be any extra charges to actually creating a new droplet as long as you don’t keep the older one.
Regards, KDSys
