How do you switch TTY's in the web-console?

Posted on January 25, 2016

Hi all,

I need to access the config of my server in web-console. However, for some reason I end up in the boot screen (the list with all the services being started), so I need to be on another TTY and I don’t know how.

I tried ctrl-Fn, alt-Fn and ctrl-alt-Fn combo’s, but no success. What am I missing?

After your linux distro boots, you should see a login prompt on the DO web console. Two main reasons you might not get a prompt is that the boot process failed, or password authentication is disabled. Have you tried SSH to your server instead of the DO web console?
