How to deal with Google IP Blocking against my SFO VPS?

May 17, 2015 2.2k views
Firewall IPv6 DigitalOcean Ubuntu

I use shadowsocks to browse websites banned by Chinese gov through my VPS at SFO. However, I cannot access regular google search. The warning goes as follows:

We're sorry...

... but your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now.

What should I do?

PS: I can use scholar.google.com. And I have enabled ipv6.

there is another question like this one:

  • Your Droplet's IP address may have been used by a spammer previously. Why not delete and spin up a new Droplet in another location.
