I can't pay with PayPal Balance

Hello, I’m not able to pay with my PayPal balance, It’s showing: “PayPal Balance: Unavailable for this payment”.

One of my client is using DigitalOcean as their first preference we’ve given. But the client has added some random test credit card number in his PayPal account generated using and PayPal accepted the card details but because of that his old card got removed.

Now he is worried about the issue and don’t want to add his credit card details on DigitalOcean directly. I’m here to confirm that does DigitalOcean payment team directly deduct his remaining credit from his credit card?

My client need a 32GB CPU Droplet for his video processing site.


I have the same issue, I have USD in my account, and I wanna pay bill in Australian dollar, all smooth when I did it before, but today its showing as unavailable for this payment. could you help me please?

Just for future reference, our users are able to use their PayPal balance if they select to sign in when presented with “Pay with PayPal” screen. This option is available to users even if their PayPal balance is in a different currency than USD with PayPal offering a conversion to USD.

Also, selecting “Stay logged in for faster purchases” avoids having to sign in every time when opting to pay using PayPal. I hope this helps.
