I signed into DO with the GitHub account that had the GitHub Education pack. Copied my promo code, pasted it, and apparently it’s already been used… Why did this happen? Did I do something wrong? What should I do now?

You need to enter a valid credit/debit card or make a deposit via PayPal in order to use the GitHub Student Pack. Keep in mind that this is needed in order to verify account and once done you will not be charged.
The promo code field should be visible in the Billing section of your account, as shown in the link provided bellow:

In other situations, I’ll recommend contacting DigitalOcean’s support. They should be able to assist you.
