Paypal billing Method - Delayed

Posted on October 5, 2015

Hey Everyone!

How much time does it takes to update the billing information using paypal? I already paid $5 USD 3 hours ago and it still asking me to update my billing information, I even have my receipt from paypal.

Another thing, why on the paypal option I can pay $5, $10, $100 USD?? Does it make any difference?

Thanks!

On your first question… While I am not on our support team I understand that there have been some issues in the last day with paypal payment notifications being delayed on paypal’s side. I’d recommend opening a ticket with the support team so they can look into it and ensure you can get started with your account.

On the second question… Paypal is offered as a pre-payment option. This means that you should pre-load funds to cover the services you will be running for the month. When using paypal as your payment method this balance will decrease throughout the month as the balance is used. If instead, you fund your account with a credit card you are automatically charged each month on the first of the month for your usage in the previous month.

Hello there,

You can add the credits at any part of the month. There are restrictions on that, however, you will need to ensure that you have enough funds available to cover the charges on the 1st of every month to prevent a billing hold on the account.

We accept pre-payment using PayPal but you cannot use it as your primary payment method.

When using PayPal, your account balance will update after your payment is processed, which often takes several hours due to PayPal’s processing. PayPal also sometimes holds payments for up to 72 hours, meaning PayPal has received your money but hasn’t sent it to us yet, but the payment will still apply once PayPal releases it.
