Okay, hello my name is Austin and I am new to the SSH scene. Recently I tried starting my own DNS server with a couple Droplets on here and I cant seem to get passed trying to restart BIND after editing and adding a domain. I was following the Digital Ocean “How to install BIND on CentOS 6” tutorial but I get an error message after entering the command ‘[root@simpl-dns ~]# service named restart’
Would it be possible that because I am using CentOS 7 named wont restart?

Without the details of the error message it’s difficult to pinpoint the issue but based on what you described, you likely made an error when editing your configuration. You should back-track through the changes you just made and make sure they are correct.
