Yearly payment and invoice

Is it possible to buy subscription annual subscription and receive just an invoice instead of 12 invoice/year?

Simply load your account the average. It will be deducting there

DigitalOcean billing cycles are monthly. Your account balance accrues over the course of the calendar month based on the cost of the resources you use.

Basically, your bill can be different each month as it’s based on your Droplet and your Droplet’s usage. As such it’s hard to pre-pay for a whole year.

While DigitalOcean doesn’t offer a pre-payment plan, due to the unknown amount of usage, they do offer PayPal as a payment method. This way you can make a payment for what you believe you will use over the course of a year. Then the system would then deduct your monthly invoice amount from your PayPal payment each month. It’s simple to make a payment via PayPal on DigitalOcean.

Here’s how you can do that:

  1. Navigate to your payment methods page: https://cloud.digitalocean.com/settings/billing
  2. Under Payment Methods, select the PayPal tab.
  3. Select the amount that you would like to add to your account
  4. Select the Pay Now button. This will prompt you to sign into PayPal and confirm the amount.

Please note that PayPal payments are not recurring. Thus you need to maintain a credit balance in your account equal to or greater than your monthly droplet cost. We will send an automated reminder if your balance gets too low.
