Question

How to increase the outbound traffic on the DigitalOcean Apps platform

The pricing information mentions that 100GiB of outbound traffic per-app is included instead of the 1000GiB most users are used to from droplets. I’m familiar with the reason for this but do not quite understand how you can increase it when you have a more significant need since the website does not mention it (At least I cannot find it).

My understanding now is that even if you scale your application to multiple nodes, the traffic still stays the same. Is this the case or do I misunderstand something?

Hi @GabrielTanner,

Yes, the outbound transfer allocation is per app, and is shared across all components within that app. Once you pass the app tier’s allotted outbound transfer, additional outbound transfer will be charged at $0.10/GB (pricing page).
