We have been trying to deploy a Laravel app using the new Apps deployment option in DO and the experience has been so painful. Support is slow, constant issues with them having to restart the DB cluster and DB connection timeouts. Sadly this just doesnt feel production ready and certainly not something I feel comfortable running a production ready app on. Sadly I was hoping they were going to be the answer over some of the other big players but maybe im wrong. What are all your experiences and how fast have DO support been in getting your issues resolved?

I also tried and tested out the App platform, and deployment worked for me but ran into some limitations, therefore I decided to try the Digital Ocean Kubernetes as well, add it worked better for me. I think a larger, scalable app may be better to use the cluster, but requires more technical knowledge. For smaller applications and easy deployment, the App platform could work.
