Hello,

You can pass your data as a query parameter in your HTTP request.

For example, you can take a look at the following function that accepts an argument:

https://github.com/digitalocean/sample-functions-nodejs-helloworld/blob/master/packages/sample/hello/hello.js

Code sample:

function main(args) {
    let name = args.name || 'stranger'
    let greeting = 'Hello ' + name + '!'
    console.log(greeting)
    return {"body": greeting}
  }

exports.main = main

Accessing the function with the ?name= query parameter will greet the specified name. For example, ?name=Alice will return Hello Alice. Using no query parameters will return Hello stranger.

The HTTP request and how exactly the query parameter is passed, would depend on the language and the framework that you are using.

Hope that this helps!

Best,

Bobby
