as helpful as the answers are - However, I do not really still understand how I can access my Console

Im unable to access my Console from my current wifi - how do I check if I have allowed port 80? Or is there a workaround for it?

The DigitalOcean Console can be accessed from within the DigitalOcean Control Panel. To access it, you’d need to login and click on the name of the Droplet you’re wanting to connect to and then click on Access from the left navigation menu, then click on the Launch Console button.

Otherwise, you’d need to use Terminal (on Mac) or something like PuTTy on Windows 8/10.

If none of those work, please let me know how your Droplet was setup and with what. Most of the error codes I’m seeing specific to your issue are with VNC.

I have the same problem… How did you solve this problem?

Same problem here, any solution?

  • I had this problem. I forgot my user password for one droplet, but knew the root. Root login was disabled through SSH, so my only option was to login under root user using the console.

It turned out that my ISP is blocking 5000 port. I had to use Wi-Fi hotspot on my phone and access Internet via cell operator. Only then I was finally able to use the console.

I’m thinking about setting up some VPN on one of my droplet and use it for Internet access for such cases.

P.S. To test port 5000 connectivity you can simply use this site

This is another question.

My server do not responde the ping, I nake a power cycle but nothing, when I try to acces by the console the screen stay on Black. I have no idea what can i do.
