Composer Install - Not enough memory

I used 512MB Droplet .. Composer gave an error of not enough memory and got killed. I resized to 1 GB droplet and tried again still I get the "Cannot allocate memory" Has anyone encountered and resolved, if so please help out with a solution. Thanks

Have you tried to create a SWAP file?
