After removing the Let’s encrypt certificate, the website (I haven’t defined a domain yet, only ip address) does not open. When I type the IP in the browser, it redirects to https and the website does not open. What should I do?

Could you describe more about how you remove the Let’s encrypt certificate without domain pointed?
Do you have force HTTPS rewrite rule applied in .htaccess file?
OR maybe you have browser cached, try to visit http://ip on the incognito browser.

  • Thank you @eleu for your message.

First I pointed the domain to the new server ( and then I created the certificate. However, since the website did not load properly, I then pointed the domain back to the old server and removed the certificate (code: cerbot delete). And then http://ip stopped working. But I can login to admin panel (ip:7080) and phpmyadmin.

    • So does this server failed to open with ip address?

I can visit it with my browser, and the curl command also shows no redirect. Maybe you have a browser cache, try to clean it, or visit an incognito browser should help.
