"You know, as a startup the time to market is essential and the simplicity of DigitalOcean in a sense is cutting all the noise and removing a lot of bureaucracy compared to other providers."
- Georgi Petrov, CEO and Co-Founder of Uxify
For serial entrepreneur Georgi Petrov and his partner Mihail Stoychev, DigitalOcean has been more than just a cloud provider, it’s been a consistent foundation for building and scaling multiple successful companies over more than a decade. Their latest venture Uxify is their third startup built on DigitalOcean’s infrastructure, and it’s poised to revolutionize how website owners approach performance optimization through AI-powered automation.
Petrov’s entrepreneurial journey with DigitalOcean began in the early days of the platform. “I think we were one of your first customers,” Petrov recalls. “We were one of the very very very first customers with one of our earlier companies.”
The duo’s first two startups, SMS Bump and NitroPack, both achieved significant milestones while running on DigitalOcean infrastructure. Both companies were eventually scaled and acquired by US companies, validating the technical foundation they built on DigitalOcean’s platform. With NitroPack, they managed to capture an impressive market share. “With our previous product we were able to get to 0.1% of all websites on the internet running Nitropack,” Petrov explains.
Uxify is a comprehensive platform that connects performance metrics to tangible business results, automatically identifying and resolving user experience bottlenecks. “We identify user experience and performance bottlenecks and automatically resolve them for the users and just provide a very simple interface of the wins that you’re getting with our product,” Petrov explains.
The product serves website owners across the spectrum, from small businesses to large organizations. “We are most helpful to site owners because we monitor their user experience, the user engagement, the audience itself and we provide automated improvements,” notes Petrov. The company recognizes that in today’s competitive digital environment, “worldclass website performance is a requirement. It’s no longer optional.”
What sets Uxify apart is its AI-first approach to website optimization. “Launching a company in 2025…we are launching as an AI-first company. So we have our own agent,” Petrov explains. This AI agent delivers unprecedented efficiency gains for users. “Things that usually might take three months to achieve in terms of performance, you can do them for like immediately with our AI agent so we save a lot of time for the site owners in identifying and resolving bottlenecks.”
The AI agent provides comprehensive automation capabilities—triggering alerts, sending notifications, and performing autonomous optimization tasks. This represents what Petrov calls “an amazing advancement in how we think about faster web.”
Today, Uxify employs a full suite of DigitalOcean products including Droplets, Gradient GPU Droplets, Managed Kubernetes, and Load Balancers. Uxify’s AI-first approach requires substantial computational power, which they’ve found in DigitalOcean’s Gradient GPU Droplets. These resources power the company’s AI agent and enable the automated optimization capabilities that set their product apart. Through the Hatch program, Uxify has gained access to NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs at competitive rates, enabling them to build and scale AI/ML applications without typical cloud cost barriers. This aligns perfectly with their need for substantial computational resources to power their AI agent and automated optimization capabilities.
After 13 years of using DigitalOcean across multiple startups, Petrov and his team have remained loyal customers because, “the ease of use and the availability to deploy whatever we want to at any time was crucial for us to scale our products."
For startups operating in fast-paced environments, DigitalOcean’s streamlined approach provides significant advantages. “You know, as a startup the time to market is essential and the simplicity of DigitalOcean in a sense is cutting all the noise and removing a lot of bureaucracy compared to other providers.”
Uxify’s development has been further supported through their participation in DigitalOcean’s Hatch program—a DigitalOcean startup initiative designed to help founders scale their businesses with reduced infrastructure barriers. Hatch is particularly valuable for AI/ML startups like Uxify, offering exclusive benefits.
The 12-month program structure gives startups like Uxify the breathing room they need to experiment, develop, and scale their solutions, which has been crucial during their development journey.
Uxify is currently operating with approximately 100 late-stage paid beta testers and plans to launch publicly in September 2025. The company has set aggressive growth targets that reflect their confidence in both their product and their DigitalOcean-powered infrastructure.
“With the new product, we hope to get at least 2% of the web. That’s our vision,” Petrov states. This would represent a 20x increase from their previous product’s market penetration, demonstrating the ambitious scope of their growth plans.
For Petrov, the motivation behind building multiple companies goes beyond financial success. “Being useful is the main thing…is the main excitement because if you’re useful and if you can scale this usefulness is what really is rewarding and makes me feel good that I’m somehow beneficial to the other people in the world.”
This philosophy of usefulness aligns perfectly with Uxify’s mission to “make a better web” through automated performance optimization. By building on DigitalOcean’s reliable infrastructure, Petrov and his team can focus on solving complex technical challenges while knowing their foundation is solid.
With their AI-powered approach to web performance optimization and ambitious growth targets, Uxify is positioned to make a significant impact on the digital landscape—all while continuing to build on the DigitalOcean foundation that has supported their success for over a decade.
