Question

500 Internal Server Error

Hi friends,

I am new but I have a question related to my site. I installed my new website and try to run it in Wordpress application, already uploaded files to File Manager via filezilla but the result is:

"Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator at webmaster@varijob.com to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

Please help me 'cause I am new to web design. Thank you.

One possible cause could be file ownership and permissions.

ssh to your droplet ssh username@varijob.com and then cd /path/to/wordpress_root

Set Apache as the owner for all the files chown www-data:www-data -R * Set directory permissions find . -type d -exec chmod 755 {} \; Set file permissions find . -type f -exec chmod 644 {} \;

Hello there,

You can check if Apache is running properly and also examine the error log files on the server.
