Is there anyway that I can access my droplet running Ubuntu 14 with a GUI? Like, able to browse the web, etc.

It’s definitely possible. We don’t have any tutorials right now for Ubuntu 14.04, but we do have one for Ubuntu 12.04. It should point you in the right direction. It doesn’t look there is much in it that would be tied to the specific version, so you should be able to follow it as is.
