Is there anyway that I can access my droplet running Ubuntu 14 with a GUI? Like, able to browse the web, etc.

In this guide, we will be setting up VNC on a Ubuntu 16.04 server and connecting to it securely through an SSH tunnel. The VNC server we will be using is TightVNC, a fast and lightweight remote control package. This choice will ensure that our VNC connection will be smooth and stable even on slower internet connections.

It’s definitely possible. We don’t have any tutorials right now for Ubuntu 14.04, but we do have one for Ubuntu 12.04. It should point you in the right direction. It doesn’t look there is much in it that would be tied to the specific version, so you should be able to follow it as is.

Let us know how it goes.

VNC will allow you to connect to your server remotely, as well as be able to use your keyboard, mouse, and monitor to interface with that server. Get it setup on your Ubuntu 12 cloud server.

you can use nautilus in Ubuntu desktop. Read Here

VNC is a connection system that allows you to manage your Ubuntu server with a graphical desktop environment. With VNC, you can use your keyboard and mouse to interact with a graphical display of your remote server, making it easier to work with the server.
