Any ideas how you change 301 redirects from the http to https?

I have an unwanted redirect chain from my HTTP>https>non-www

PS total newbie - only know a bit about SEO, know nothing about terminals, SFTP etc.

Any spoon-fed, lubed up, simplified advice would be amazing.

Thanks in advance :)

Hi there 👋,

This would depend on a few things:

  • The webserver that you are using, depending on whether if it’s Apache or Nginx, you could follow the steps on how to set up the redirect here:

  • In case that you are using a CMS like WordPress, you would need to adjust your site and home URLs so that they match the exact URL that you want to use as your permanent one.

Bobby

HTTP redirects are used to redirect web site visitors to new locations when they request content. These are useful for a variety of reasons, whether permanent or temporary. This guide will demonstrate how to redirect visitors using Apache and Nginx.
