I already upvoted this thread before:

But it's 5 years old now. Any update about servers located at south america?

We don't have any new news to share. We're always looking at new regions, features and other ways we can continue to improve. Some much wanted locations such as those in South America, Africa and Australia pose their own challenges both logistically and financially and it is important for us that we are able to offer a single set of prices for all our regions.

  • As many others here, I'm also looking ahead having a DC here in South America, it would be great to have DigitalOcean's avaibility, performance and pricing (even if a bit more expensive) also with lower latency. Just dont forget about us down here in your next "expansion meeting"! I would drop the "cloud giant" in a heartbeat...

Hi guys still no news?
I'm slowly seeing some new companies having vms in Sao.
Still want DO

We need a server in South America with lower latency.

Forget about the "single set of prices". Its just impossible to do with a Brazili datacenter.

Take a look at AWS. They charge 30x more for Brazil and still have a very compelling offer.

Charge double, or triple, we'll pay.
