Question

apache default.conf file for Kibana

Hi, I followed this tutorial https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-elasticsearch-logstash-and-kibana-elastic-stack-on-ubuntu-18-04 but I am using apache instead of nginx. I was hoping I could get a kibana.conf file example to securely open the port to see Kibana from the browser. Thanks so much!

Hi @chgrim,

In the tutorial one of the reasons for using Nginx is the proxy pass which loads port 5061 :

proxy_pass http://localhost:5601;

You’ll need to add this part to your Apache’s vhost file however will Apache’s syntax. You can check the official Apache article about it here :

https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/howto/reverse_proxy.html
