Hi there,
I’ve a standard react project. To let it work, I need these commands only:
npm install
npm run build
npm install -g serve
serve -s build
So, I send my project to Github, and I’ve connected my github to Digital Ocean Apps Platform.
And configured its settings like below:
#### Commands
**Build Command**
npm run build npm install -g serve
**Run Command**
serve -s build -l 8080
Edit
And when I go to apps url, it returns empty white screen only. whats wrong with it?

Hi there,
The React dev server that you start with
serve -s build -l 8080
is mainly intended to be used for local development purposes. When deploying React to production it is best to use the
npm run build
and deploy the app as a static site rather than a web component. You can check out this step by step tutorial on how to set this all up:
That way your React app will be optimized for production and you also get 3 free static websites with the DigitalOcean App Platform.
Let me know how it goes!
Best,
Bobby
