Attempting to query / create spaces bucket website gives 405 Method not allowed

I’m trying to enable (or query the state of) a bucket website as described in the Spaces API docs: https://developers.digitalocean.com/documentation/spaces/#get-bucket-website

Unfortunately, I always get 405 Method not allowed errors back.

Any ideas?
