Hi! I ran GTmetrix and get 20 point of 100 on “Avoid AlphaImageLoader filter”. But what is AlphaImageLoader filter"? I googled the question and found out that the answer was that transparent .png images show a grey background instead of transparent in IE6. Is that true? Beacuse, who uses IE6 anyway? I’m trying to find out how to disable this filter but cant seem to find the answer, or even where to begin to look. Does anyone know? I’m using ubuntu 14.04 with LAMP, google pagespeed and magento.

AlphaImageLoader is a technique used to support transparent PNG files on older versions of Internet Explorer. It is probably used in the CSS of your Magento theme. It should only affect IE6, so you’re probably best off ignoring the warning from GTmetrix.
