I need to back a mysql (version 5.5.46) db running on my droplet linux ubuntu 14,04 using mysqldump none of the command i have googled has worked … somebody help i have so far used this
code
mysqldump -u root -p google_test < mybackup.sql
what am I missing

What I like to do is remember the direction of the bracket as an arrow and what I’m trying to do. For example the “>” bracket for
mysqldump
points from the database name to the file name. If you were importing the database, the arrow would point from the filename to the database name.Happy coding,
