DigitalOcean will not pool transfer caps across all droplets in an account. Each droplet will have its individual transfer cap.

@DASHARATHAM: Yes, bandwidth is going to be pooled across all droplets.

Etel, Is bandwidth already pooled now? <br>

The following question’s answer suggests that bandwidth is pooled within one user account: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/questions/bandwidth-pooling--2

Every thing I’ve heard from Digital Ocean suggests they will not offer pooled bandwidth. I’ve asked through support and their official IRC channel and be told the same thing.

So if I set up a load balancer not all the outgoing traffic is counted as going out from that droplet?

That’s nice as it’s always been a pain with some of my providers where I have multiple VM’s and 1 is using a lot whilst others are not even utilising 10% bandwidth.

The bandwidth is going to be pooled
