Bandwith limit question

Can I set a limit for my droplet in regard to bandwidth usage?

I don’t believe that this is currently possible but it sounds like an interesting idea.

It looks like someone has had the same idea before and has posted it on our Product Ideas board. The best thing to do would be to head over and add your vote to it:

In the meantime what you could do is to set up Billing alerts so that you get early notifications when you reach a certain usage amount. You can do that via your Control Panel -> then go to Billing -> then under Billing Alerts hit the ‘Add Alert’ button.

Unfortunately, there is no way to set up a Bandwidth limit for a droplet.

Droplets include free outbound data transfer, starting at 1,000 GiB/month for the smallest plan. Excess data transfer is billed at $0.01/GiB. For example, the cost of 1,000 GiB of overage is $10. Inbound bandwidth to Droplets is always free.
