Hello, I’m an intermediate linux user, but a beginner in server management. I created a droplet, configured a SSH connection, apache and everything else. Now I need to put my local files (HTML, imagens and stuff) into the VPS I just configured. How should I do that? What’s the best way to do this safely? I’m using Ubuntu 14.04 on my VPS and Windows 10 on my local PC.

I use FileZilla with SFTP.

FileZilla with SFTP is a good option. for some extra security you could use ssh key which i believe you already setup for your droplet.

I appreciate the help so far. It’s important to me, I’m new in this kind of thing.

I already connect to my VPS using a SSH key, with PuTTY. I use Ubuntu 14.04 on my VPS and Windows 10 on my local PC. Is there a tutorial on how to configure SFTP on Ubuntu 14.04 and how to connect to it using Windows? Is it possible to connect using the SFTP program within PuTTY programs? Specifically, PSFTP.exe.
