Billing Question - What if monthly cap not reached

Hi Guys,

I was wondering what happens if a monthly cap is not reached. Do you get charged your currently balance or does the system charge you the monthly fee regardless?

Thank you,

You will only be charged for your actual usage. Droplets are billed at their hourly rate until the cost reaches the cap for your plan. For instance, a 512MB droplet is charged at $0.007/hour until it reaches $5.00 in the current calendar month. If the month ends before those charges reach $5 you only pay for what was used.

i have been using digital ocean for a month and started with balance of 60$. i always create new droplets and destroy them/ so as they mention they charge based on time droplet was on. powered off time is not included i guess. not sure. better to write to support.
